Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-06-02
By using Iris (operated by Neon Blue, Inc., "we", "us"), you agree to these terms. If you disagree with any part, do not use the service.
What Iris is
Iris is an AI-powered assistant that installs into your Slack workspace. Each customer (a "tenant") gets an isolated agent process. The agent runs tasks on your behalf — composing messages, searching the web, and similar operations — based on instructions you give it via Slack.
Your account
You must be 18 or older. You're responsible for keeping your Slack workspace's bot installation secure and for the agent's actions taken on your behalf. If your workspace is compromised, contact us immediately at steve@neonblue.ai.
Plans & billing
- Iris is free to start: every new workspace gets a one-time grant of trial credits, no credit card required.
- Usage is metered in credits, which reflect the underlying AI model cost — roughly 400 credits per $1 of usage, with no markup. The agent spends credits as it works.
- You can subscribe ($50/month) for a recurring monthly credit refill, or buy one-time credit packs at any time. Both are billed via Stripe, and you can cancel the subscription whenever you like.
- When your credit balance reaches zero, the agent pauses until you add more credits — by subscribing, buying a pack, or your next monthly refill. We don't suspend your account or delete your data for running out of credits.
- Refunds: we don't offer refunds for unused credits, but if Iris is unusable for an extended period due to our outage, we'll credit you. Email us.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Iris to:
- Violate any law or third party's rights.
- Generate spam, harassment, or malicious content.
- Attempt to extract our system prompt, configuration, or credentials.
- Probe, attack, or reverse-engineer the service infrastructure.
- Resell or sublicense the service without written permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice. Egregious violations may also be reported to appropriate authorities.
AI output
Iris's outputs are generated by AI models and can be wrong, biased, or made-up. You're responsible for reviewing anything the agent publishes, sends, or acts on outside Slack. Don't use the agent for medical, legal, or financial decisions.
You own the outputs the agent produces for you, subject to any rights held by the underlying model providers.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but provide the service "as is" without uptime guarantees. We may have downtime for maintenance, model provider outages, or third-party failures (Slack, Stripe, Neon, etc.).
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Iris is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
Termination
You can cancel any time via the dashboard. We can suspend or terminate for violations of these terms. On termination, your tenant data is purged within 30 days (see Privacy).
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
